With over 21 years in the marine industry, Ralph’s extensive background and unique perspective make him an invaluable addition to our team. His journey, deeply rooted in a family tradition of boating and adventure, has led him through diverse maritime sectors—each one strengthening his dedication to marine innovation.

As Pollentia advances toward a new era of electric boating, Ralph’s insights will play a key role in guiding our vision forward.Ralph’s path to marine engineering was paved by his family’s legacy on the water. As he explains, “Boating has been in my familial genes, where my great-great-grandfather, an American soldier during World War II, found solace and settled on an island at age 19 to premier the luxury of ‘speed boats’ as a means of transport within the 7,107 isles of the Philippines.” This connection to the sea inspired Ralph from a young age, leading him to study marine engineering as a scholarship recipient through Japan’s Ministry of Transport.

Over the past two decades, Ralph has cultivated a distinguished career in sectors ranging from Oil & Gas and LNG to the high-end world of superyachts. His achievements include attaining the prestigious Marine Chief Engineer Officer Commercial Unlimited, a recognition reserved for those who have demonstrated exceptional skill and experience on the open seas.

Ralph’s diverse career and his eagerness to embrace new learning opportunities have also led him to pursue over 30 certifications in fields such as Internal Auditing, Strategic Planning, Design Thinking, and more.
